My Story: From Fundraising to Building What’s Next
When I planned my own destination wedding in Mexico, something shifted.
I saw how much trust, clarity, and strong advocacy mattered in high-stakes moments. I also saw the opportunity — not just in travel, but in helping people navigate meaningful decisions with structure and confidence.
In 2017, I gave myself one year to build something intentional and scalable — or return to fundraising.
Within twelve months, that business outgrew my corporate career.
What started as TravelBash became a destination wedding concierge brand serving couples around the world. Over time, that foundation evolved into multiple brands centered on leadership, growth, and thoughtful execution.
Along the way:
• Featured in Travel + Leisure, The Washington Post, and Travel Weekly
• Author of Passport to Paradise: Destination Wedding Guide (Amazon bestseller)
• Designed travel experiences across 50+ countries
• Built three distinct brands from the ground up, each reflecting a different stage of growth
What began as a pivot became a broader body of work.
My role shifted from execution to leadership.
From managing details to shaping direction.
From building for clients to building rooms.
Hi, I’m Courtnie Nichols
I believe life and business should be built on purpose not pressure.
For nearly two decades, I’ve rebuilt my life more than once. As the wife of a college basketball coach, I moved nine times in seventeen years, learning how to create stability, community, and momentum in constantly changing environments.
That season shaped me. It taught me adaptability, resilience, and how to build wherever I land.
Before entrepreneurship, I worked in higher education fundraising, part of a two-person team managing a $50M portfolio during a $3B campaign at the University of Florida. The work was strategic, relationship-driven, and high stakes. By most standards, I was successful.
But I kept asking a different question:
What kind of life did I actually want to build?
The Work I’m Known For
My work now lives across three connected pillars:
TravelBash
The destination wedding concierge brand I built and scaled over several years. It sharpened my expertise in client advocacy, operational structure, and protecting trust in high-stakes moments.
Today, TravelBash is positioned for sale: a completed chapter that strengthened my foundation as a founder.
TRvLB
A retainer-based luxury travel advisory serving a limited number of private clients each year. TRvLB is built on continuity and discretion not one-off trip planning.
It’s long-term partnership, high-touch management, and thoughtful execution.
The Biz Huddle
A curated business experience for established travel professionals. Not a trade show. Not surface-level networking.
A room for honest conversations about revenue, positioning, leadership, and sustainable growth where decisions are made, not just discussed.
Across all three, my work centers on clarity, structure, and building businesses that can support the life you actually want.
Beyond the Work
Outside of business, I’m energized by well-designed experiences.
A thoughtfully crafted meal.
A live concert.
A new city.
A slow morning.
Having moved often, I’ve learned to build belonging wherever I land and to value presence over pace.
I believe ambition and joy can coexist.
That you can build something meaningful without losing yourself in the process.
The same intention I bring to business is the intention I bring to life.
